Live your Life

Life is unpredictable.
Sometimes the worst winters make
us stalwart
And the bright summers make us
regret.
The mind strives with the heart habitually,
Trauma becomes kin in this travel.
But, Life has to move on.

The society

                            The society

If you are silent,
They say, ‘attitude.’
If you are talkative,
They say, ‘chatterbox.’

If you do makeup,
They say, ‘show off.’
If you don't,
They say, ‘a villager.’

If you are sentimental,
They say, ‘emotional fool.’
If you don't show sentiment,
They say, ‘stone-heart.’

If you work,
They say, ‘an officer.’
If you don't,
They say, ‘a beggar.’

If you eat well,
They say, ‘you are rich.’
If you just eat,
They say, ‘poor.’

If you play,
They say, ‘you are active.’
If you don't,
They say, ‘you are lazy.’

If you are healthy,
They say, ‘fat.’
If you are thin,
They say, ‘sick.’

If you cry,
They say, ‘problem.’
If you feel happy,
They say, ‘drama.’

Society criticises you
For nothing,
And without anything
Reasonable and valuable.

Never mind them,
As it never leaves,
Just dream high,
To the sky.

Focus on your dreams,
To achieve and shine.

Detective Laura Belle (continued)

Detective Laura Belle

continued ....

“Hey Mandy, have you got any clue?” asked Laura on phone. “Just chill, don’t stress yourself. We have six days left. Mrs. Sara gave me hot chocolate and it was so good, you just missed it,” said Mandy without bothering about the case. Laura shook her head, “how can I explain this, stupid?!”

Later, both of them went to cafeteria. “Can’t you understand? Mr. Phillipe expects some evidence to be given every day,” scolded Laura. “Okay, don’t get upset, my friend. Let’s fix this issue,” said Mandy. They left the cafeteria and headed to Mr. Phillipe’s house. “Welcome my detectives, what have you found?” asked Mr. Phillipe. “We have found a wooden bracelet with some ink on it. I have given it to the analyst,” said Laura. “Okay girls, now go home and get ready for tomorrow,” said Mr. Phillipe.

***

Laura and Mandy took one week to find the kidnapper. “Laura check this out, the analyst just messaged me; it seems that the evidence is ready!” Mandy exclaimed. “Wow! So, let’s go. Come on,” said Laura in a happy way. They went to the lab to get the evidence. “Here is your evidence,” whispered the analyst.

“Wait, what?” Laura and Mandy were shocked when they read the reports. Then they went to their college to inquire Professor Heather Davis. “Hands in the air!” shouted the police crew. Then Laura and Mandy entered the room. “Now tell me the truth, Professor. Where is Sean and Kristine?” Laura started. “Okay, I confess,” Professor Heather said scared. “Yes, a police man named Adam Reynolds gave me a vaccine for COVID patients. To test the vaccine, I kidnapped those kids,” Professor Heather confessed. “So, where are they? Are… are they alive?” Mandy shouted and gulped. “They are counting their days. If you let me, I will tell you where they are,” Professor Heather said, coldly. “You better tell us or we will arrest you and you will suffer in jail for ten years,” Laura said. “Don’t try to scare me, young lady. If you want those kids ask Adam and I will give you a clue, the clue is ‘Wilson street,’ and there is where he is but those kids, I assume that they are counting their days.” Professor Heather said in a mysterious tone. Soon, they arrested Professor Heather Davis.

They rushed to the Wilson street to arrest Mr. Adam Reynold. He was hiding behind some fluffy bushes. The police crew founded him. “There you are, Detective Laura Belle. You have found me but those kids will never return to you,” Mr. Adam said and giggled. “Don’t ever underestimate me, sir. We are going to find them and you are going to see that,” Laura said in an aggressive tone. While searching, Mandy found Sean’s tennis bat in Mr. Adam’s lab. Inside his cupboard, he had trapped those two kids. Soon, they were taken to the hospital. After that the two detectives returned to Mr. Phillipe’s house. “Good job, my detectives, I feel proud,” said Mr. Phillipe in happiness.

The next morning Laura, Mandy, Mr. Phillipe, and the police crew went to the court. “Mr. Adam Reynold, age 39, a police man. He has created a vaccine for this COVID. Professor Heather Davis kidnapped two children, and they tried the vaccine on an 8-year-old boy named Sean Smith, who went to play tennis with his friends, while the same had happened to a 10-year-old girl named Kristine Sanders, who went to buy some provisions for her mother. Both did not return home. And our young detective, Miss. Laura Belle and her assistant Miss. Mandy Brown have found that they had kidnapped those two kids. And here is your evidence, your honor,” said Mr. Phillipe to the judge. And the judge declared that both of the criminals will suffer in jail for 30 years. The kids’ parents thanked Laura and all the others for helping them.

“Sir, my daughter is missing for the past three days,” someone said at the back, and Laura heard it. Detective Laura will return again with another epic mystery.

A Bottle of Ink

A bottle of ink, and a piece of paper,
The thoughts I'd link to keep them safer!

Scribbling away till the last drop drawn,
Not giving up even with the last hope gone!

Tables turned from dreaming about in sleep,
Sacrificing it all to enliven the steep!

All 'cause one day I would reach,
The land where my dreams beseech!

Not to a stereotypical magic place,
And definitely not in an outfit sown with lace!

Not as the most perfect lady,
But as the sunshine that smiles daily!

Not a place with fireflies and fairy dust,
But a place with peace? That's a must

Try, and sure find me there,
With, a bottle of ink and a piece of paper!

Spooky pandemic

Well, everybody knows today’s situation. The world is completely sealed. Our current
situation is so pathetic that we have clean air but we all have our masks on! It is like The
Third World War, biologically. Okay, let’s jump into the content.

Those who longed for holidays are now fed up of it. Well, I’m one of them. I just
walked out of my 10th grade in flying colours. All I expected was to break the nut of the
shells! And I just did them. I wanted to have memorable holiday, as I worked like an ox to fly
through with good marks. Well, all my prior ideas and plans now unfortunately can’t be
executed due to the spooky freaking virus THE NOVEL CORONA!

It’s been 4 months and 10 days since I’m locked up at home. Though I found few ways
to kill time, I feel a little distress. At times I have great time with my family, which is purely
bliss. Though it is the best family holiday, I miss the atrocities with my friends. To be frank I
was bored of boredom, thinking of boredom again and again. I really don’t know how many
days are yet to put my enthusiasm off me. I feel like I’m fading in and being lost in this
lockdown.

This lockdown has widened the gap between sports and extra-curricular activities, and
me. I really don’t know how I’m going to cope up after this long holiday, which is like a
polar bear’s hibernating period. Home sweet home had become a home sweet cage for us. I
really pity caged animals, now. I don’t know how they live their curtailed life. At times this
pandemic provokes me and triggers me to sneak out of home. But then I realised life is more
precious than fun.

So now I have made up my mind to utilize my time like indulging myself in new
activities and I would like to share them. I learnt through an online class, did calligraphy,
read e-books, learnt a new language, painted, sketched, at times researched about the cure for
this pandemic, helped mom, and played traditional indoor games.

A general advice to all my comrades is ‘don’t waste your time with movies or series on Netflix,’ instead I feel YouTube has lot new lessons, which we can learn; we must optimistically use them. One can also meditate, do yoga, and listen to some music to attain peace of mind.

I’m now longing for those usual fast, furious, furore days. I hope everything gets back
to being well soon. Let’s all join hand-in-hand in rage, and defeat the micro silent killer
corona virus. Again, I would like to say, ‘don’t take yourself to the verge of death for the
sake of fun. Stay home, stay safe - like me.’

To, the past and future days:

Come back soon. Bring those fabulous and healthy days.
I’ll wait for you until the oceans dry
And
Just be the smell of rain
I had invited storms for.”

Detective Laura Belle

Detective Laura Belle

                                            Anjana ganesh

On 27.2.2020, Sean Smith, an 8-year-old boy went to play tennis with his friends. Usually, he would return home in at least two to four hours, but that day he never returned. While on the other hand, Kristine, a 10-year-old girl went to buy some provisions for her mother, but she never returned home either.

***

“So, what do you say, sir?” enquired Mr. Adam Reynold. Adam was a policeman who had experienced many cases like this one. He also knew some lab works as his wife was an analyst there. “Did you ask the local helpers, what did they say? Call them immediately!” shouted Mr. Phillipe Andrews. Mr. Phillipe was one of the best lawyers known in the United States of America. He had successfully overseen 89 cases in the U.S. He was always known as the best lawyer because he would do anything to show that he was the best.

“Both of them seem to be cousins. That’s what we have found, sir. There is no evidence yet. But we have found Kristine’s shopping bag and the kidnapper has left a butter paper which says ‘no matter what, the kid who’s gone, will never ever return home,’” the police crew declared. “Give me that evidence,” asked Mr. Phillipe and then said, “this is really going to be a head-aching case for all of us. So, I will appoint a new detective who can fix this case. I know it sounds crazy but let them learn. I will also appoint the new detective with an assistant for him or her.” “But sir…” everyone started. “Shhhh. Do not even start. I know what to do,” and Mr. Phillipe waved a big goodbye and took his car.

***

“Mom have you seen my bag, my books, my car keys, my lunch, and my ID card? Please answer me right now,” Laura shouted as she was late for her college. “Here you go Laura, I have made you cheese toast, and a pineapple smoothie with some chopped and garnished walnuts and almonds. Don’t forget to eat it,” her mom said in a gentle-aggressive tone. After receiving them, she took her car and headed to her college. There she saw her class students standing in a queue waiting for an interview. “Hey Mandy, what are you doing here, why are you waiting in this boring queue? Come let’s go to class; we are already late,” Laura said. “We are not late, come stand with us. You know what, Mr. Phillipe is here to choose a detective for his case!” Mandy exclaimed. “Today is our day,” both shouted in happiness.

At last, it was Laura’s turn. “It is so great of you to spend your time for me, Mr. Phillipe. I’m Laura Belle, age 20, and I’m about to write my criminology examination on 23.9.2020,” Laura introduced and felt proud of herself. “Actually, we came here to test students’ ability and their interest. So, are you interested? You must write a small test and if you score among the top 10 students, I will choose you, and also you will get an assistant. I will give you one week’s time to prepare,” Mr. Phillipe declared.

***

Laura worked so hard day and night, only focusing on the test. After those days she spent her days by studying for her exam. When Mr. Phillipe’s test scores were out, she had scored well and was among those chosen 10.

Bravo, Laura. Bravo!” Mr. Phillipe clapped aloud. “Really good my child. And I have chosen an assistant for you and she is….” Mr. Phillipe continued after a short pause, “She is Mandy Brown. Hooray! Congrats Mandy. She has scored just below you,” encouraged Mr. Phillipe. Mandy grinned when she heard Mr. Phillipe’s encouragement. “Here it goes, why me god?!” Laura sniffed and talked to herself. “Great job Mandy and Laura. I’m really proud to say that you are my students,” Professor Heather Davis entered and congratulated them. “Thank you, Professor,” said Mandy and Laura. Professor Heather Davis, a 42-year-old woman, was known as ‘the best criminology faculty’ in town. She had experienced more cases than Mr. Phillipe; she only gave first preference to herself and for her personal life.

***

After seven days, they were ready. “Dude I feel like a detective,” Mandy was excited. “I feel proud,” Laura spoke in a genuine way. “So, this must be your first day at work. All the very best and I must get some clues within seven days,” Mr. Phillipe declared. “We will do our very best,” Laura and Mandy smiled at each other and at Mr. Phillipe, and they started their work.

Mandy went to Sean’s house seeking some evidence, while Laura went to Kristine’s house for the same. “Hello there, I’m Laura Belle and a criminologist. Mr. Phillipe Andrews, one of the most popular lawyers in the U.S. sent me and so, I’m here to investigate about your daughter. So, at what time did she leave the house? Please answer me, ma’am. We are here to help you,” said Laura in a kind way. Suddenly, Kristine’s mom replied, “My name is Andrea Sanders, my age is 30, and I had sent my daughter to buy five eggs, flour, butter paper, and some chocolate for her birthday. It is not that far. When I went down there, in order to search for my girl, I found one more thing in her shopping bag. It was a wooden bracelet with some ink on it. Please find her,” said Mrs. Andrea, crying in pain. “Please don’t cry ma’am, we will find her,” Laura convinced Mrs. Andrea and took all the evidence from her.

FAILURE _ A KEY TO SUCCESS

       FAILURE-A KEY TO SUCCESS

-   Bairavi Sundaram.

On February 1990, was born a young boy, for a good couple. But soon after his birth, his father passed away. He grew older and was about to join a college, but due to his family’s condition and lack of finance, he was not admitted in the college.

His mother said to him, “Kindly wait for a year; I will make you learn, my dear son.” But he was not happy, he wanted to learn, get a good job and settle in life. This thought is quite natural for everyone. So he decided to work, earn enough money and get admitted in a college. “But who will give me a job? What sort of work will I get? Am I able to work?” All these questions squeezed his mind like anything. “But once decided is decided, I will never stop until I earn money,” he said to himself and started searching for  a suitable job.

In a roadside hotel, he saw a board that read, “servants needed.” He approached the owner to join as a servant in the hotel. The owner, who was the cook of the hotel, asked his name and he replied, “Jackie, but people would call me Jack.” He was appointed and he was the only servant in that hotel.

As the days passed, the hotel did not receive any kind of profit or income. There were no visitors and it was about to be a month for Jack as a servant in that hotel. He expected his maiden salary. The owner, regretting to have not paid him, said that the financial condition was not good. Jack agreed, because he did see how the owner had suffered. By this time, he realised that life has many faces. If we have our face happy then it would be easy to face the faces of life. So, he did not feel unhappy, whereas he wanted to do something to make the small roadside hotel popular, as his life in the form of education depended only from the

income that he would earn from this hotel. He got an idea, which he said to his owner. His idea was a one plus one offer for the food that is quite common. The owner agreed and they started implementing their idea, but there was no improvement.

One day he met an old man, who was laying in front of their hotel. The owner showed all his bad moods and started yelling at the old man. But Jack did not do so. He went near him, got his blessings and provided breakfast for him. But the owner did not like this, and he said “If you do like this then every beggar would ask for food, where will we go if we provide food free of cost? Avoid doing this, Jack,” he warned him.

Of course, Jack showed humanity and kindness towards the old man, but the real reason was the motive to make the hotel popular. The old man, after his breakfast in the hotel, conveyed that news to everyone. The hotel started providing food for beggars free of cost.

After a week, beggars decided to pay something in return. It can be in cash or in kind. This made their hotel popular and Jack and his owner were interviewed by the leading TV channels about their success, as well as their humanity that they provided food for beggars without expecting anything in return.

Finally, they had developed their hotel and appointed some beggars who were willing to work as servants. Jack had completed his bachelor’s degree with distant learning, passing with flying colours, and was promoted as an accountant in the same hotel. Jack’s dream was fulfilled, and thus made his mother proud and happy.

THE SOCIETY WE LIVE IN

Instead of blaming others, we must learn to blame ourselves. We should feel responsible for the mistakes those that include us. Have we ever questioned ourselves? No, we have never done so. If we would have, then this would not have been the supreme result. Can anyone of us affirm that the society we live in is the purest? We, humans as a species, have evolved. But have our thoughts evolved too? Our society is wholly contaminated. Apart from it, we live in different countries and so we have varied culture. It does not mean that we are better than others. Today, the world is running busy. Everyone is looking forward to Globalization, Economic Progress and many more. But when do we realize that none of these are permanent? Even if we do realize, what is the actual change?

Many of us should have come across the proverb Unity is Strength during our schooling. There are a number of social discriminations all over the world. Some groups of people are continuously ill-treated. Their demands are unanswered and most of all, their activities are restricted beyond compulsion. Their voices are suppressed. Ultimately, they feel like they are caged. Somehow, every country has these kinds of social discriminations irrespective of their status (developed or developing). Groups of social terrorists continue to thrive due to this inequality. They need those sufferers to below-ranged prospects. Finally, this kind of dominating act reflects in the poor quality of the people’s thoughts and visions.
By now, you would have come to know what I am talking about. Caste Inequalities.

Apparently, it is the most sensitive concept that most of us refuse to speak out about. Not only that, we still face a lot of disparities based on Gender, LGBTQ rights, Apartheid and so on.  Accordingly, the society we talk about is just an illusion. Nothing like that really exists. It is purely a man-made concept.
We know about Communalism. It is the evidence that caste and politics are interdependent. They go hand-in-hand.
We say this is a legitimate government, because it involves democracy. But does India really involve democracy? So here, we are misled. In fact, India is a country with a lot of youngsters. We are educated. What is the use of learning Apartheid, Gender inequality, and Political Studies? Is it just to write our exams and for the marks? Absolutely not! We should be able to live by these principles. Everybody should have social empowerment in their heart, and this fire should never be put out. As a citizen, we have the right to raise our voice. Raise your voice louder until it is heard. We have the democratic power to close the holes in our system.
This Constitution allows us to protest on the streets for what we want. However, these protests should never disobey community guidelines. Never settle until you achieve your Goal. Let’s join our hands to eradicate such/these social discriminations from our society.👍

Rage in cage

Rage, rage and rage,

Always in a range,

No one comes near,

And can't go away.

Without any reason,

Why such anger?

It may cause you danger.

Caution is needed

To control and control.

No need to cage,

Yourself in a cell,

But the anger that

Makes you caged.

Cages are for none

Who are born,

But to some,

Who are in a RAGE...

Unending Wait

Memories we made together,
I wish it would stay forever,
The days may have gone,
But I wait for you from dusk to dawn.

A never ending love,

Which is as beautiful as a dove.

Every day she wields a title,

Which isn’t brittle.

It is an honour,

To have a title “mother”.

Happy birthday

My beautiful fay.

A lovely birthday wish to my mother in the form of verse.

A Salute To Our Indian Army

You are in a team,

With the same dream.

You respect our country,

Neglect your comforts,

And suspect the criminals.

You act as a hedge,

By saying our country’s pledge.

India as a car,

You are the wheels to make that move.

You suffer torture,

For India’s bright future.

The whole day you creep,

By sacrificing your sleep.

You are the perfect nail

to nail our country’s beauty.

Enchanted love

They are incomplete without each other,
Their love has no boundaries—
Sacrifice is the basement of their love.
She loves to paint.
So, he presented his soul as a canvas.
She filled his beautiful soul with her veins and blood,
Their love was not an ordinary one to exchange their hearts,
But it was an extraordinary one where they gave up on their lives,
To make one and another beautiful.
She splashed her last drop of colour on his soul with satisfaction.
She left!
He is still living with her memories.
Nobody can ever take her place in his soul,
Nor anybody can erase her memories!
They are bound by love!
They are bound by souls,
They are bound by their differences.
The destruction of her will lead to the destruction of him.
There is no him without her,
She is not a single page in his life,
She is the whole book of his life!
They played the role of cupid for true lovers.
And they still do without any doubt.
She still breathes in him even after leaving,
He still protects her even when she is no more.
Wonders of love, they are!
It is never an incomplete story,
As her footprints on the upcoming pages of his life will tell you—
The love story of pen and paper never fades!

Head Over Heels

Sleepless nights, all by your side,
My blushing face that I try to hide.
Strolling with you, hand in hand,
Glimpsed only beautiful terrains in place of barren land.

Messy hair and untamed beard,
Remind me that my tastes are weird.
Warrior chests and your peevish smile,
Lost in meandering for you, another mile.

Your gleaming eyes never left mine,
Your absence makes me whine.
Your euphonious voice, I can hear you talking all day long,
Melts my anger, even if I'm not wrong.

My puerile attitude, difficult for anyone to bear,
Fortunately, you loved me for it, I swear.
Seeking forth your dark eyes,
Makes me go weak by knees.

Your modesty makes any girl crave,
I warn them, I'll dig them a grave.
The nonchalant glance you throw upon me,
Brings never-ending bright curves etching from me.

Your handsomeness is deeply catastrophic,
Makes me forget myself whenever I see you.
The shyness and timidity mask which I wore till now,
Is torn apart by your love.

Sentence me a lifetime of imprisonment in your heart,
Together let's make this life an art.
Wishing to be a refugee in your arms,
And left for eternity enchanted by your charms.

Sing with the Lord...

Sing!

Sing, said the Lord,

It will jostle your worries away.

Sing, so that your unprecedented voice

Can be admired now!

Sing, that what you ponder, comes out

Like a cascade that has been held on

Sing, said the Lord...

Sing with the Lord, I will.

The Greatest Blessing Of My Life

We all know that our mothers are the blessing of God in a human form.A mother's job is endless. She gives us unconditional love, care and the most important gift called life. Mother's love is something that one cannot Express through words but still, I am trying here to Express my heart's emotions. I lived with my mother for only 5 months. Then I had to come to my grandmother's. She is one of the strongest and most independent persons I know. She works to keep us healthy, safe and happy. She gives me everything I need and whatever she has. Yes, she is the biggest blessing of my life. To be honest she is the peace of my heart. She makes my life beautiful and amazing. She is the one who always believes in me without any doubt. Now she needs my love, company and time.if something happens to my grandmother, I swear I would lose myself .I love her to death, she means the world to me.
